Summary

Description
English: This print depicts Venus as a nude, reclining woman turning toward the viewer and away from a satyr who grabs her from behind. Above Venus' head, Cupid attempts to push the satyr away. While Venus reclines on what appears to be a bed, behind the trio is a rough, wooden fence and foliage that would suggest they are somewhere out of doors. The image is made in the style of François Boucher (1703-1770). Delâtre, printer.
