  • Significance: The plant is of technological interest, as it uses the same machinery and process with which it began over 80 years ago. Economically, the plant is of interest because it was the first of many companies to locate in Morgantown. Since the founders were of German origin, Seneca's history shed light on the position of immigrant labor in the glass industry.
