Necessity of the article

This is largely identical to Massacres of Albanians in the Balkan Wars and Persecution of Muslims during the Ottoman contraction. Furthermore, I think it's quite controversial to refer to this as a genocide, and "Ottoman" seems redundant to me in the title, "Muslim" is enough as they were targeted for being Muslims, not Ottoman civilians, nor Muslims and citizens of the Ottoman Empire. The original naming convention that I used when creating this article was a bit better, because "Ottoman civilians" is more inclusive given the atrocities against Albanian Catholics and Jews. The term genocide is used because the events seem to perfectly fit the definition. The article has been expanded significantly, so it no longer seems similar to what is described in those two articles (except the Albanian section, but that is largely an abstract of the main article). Renaming to “Massacres of Ottoman Muslims during the Balkan Wars and deleting the section about atrocities against Jews, or renaming it to "Massacres against Ottoman civilians during the Balkan Wars and keeping the section about atrocities against Jews”?

Perhaps for any future controversy and/or disagreement on the title of the article, this can be a reasonably compromise. It seems that the word "genocide" is highly controversial in any situation, which of course is understandable.SamuelLion1877 (talk) 18:58, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Defining the scope

The scope of this article should include one of the following:

1. All Ottoman Civilians, included a section that summarizes Massacres of Albanians in the Balkan Wars
2. Only Turks and Pomaks, and other non-Albanian Muslim (and have a separate article for Jews).

I know I've changed it from Muslims to civilians, but it may be better to keep focus on non-Albanian Muslims and rename the article to "Massacres of Turks and Pomaks in the Balkan Wars" since, even though Albanians and Jews were part of the campaign, the violence directed towards them was different. The violence against the Albanians was a lot more based on ethnicity, and the Jews were targeted for "collaborating with the oppressors." I think the context of the violence was different for each of these three groups, and should probably have their own article. Yung Doohickey (talk) 19:25, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
