Contested deletion edit

This page should not be speedy deleted as pure vandalism or a blatant hoax, because... this figure is attested to in legitimate first-hand sources and contains references to a legitimate academic sources. The name is funny, I know, but that doesn't change the fact that Humphrey is attested to have been a real person by the Domesday Book --Xismyhero (talk) 19:23, 23 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Just wanted to add some additional sources attesting to Humphrey's existence:
The UK National Archive page for the folio on which Humphrey appears - https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D7297258
The University of Cambridge's online database of Domesday which lists him in the "Tenant-in-Chief 1086 demesne estates (no subtenants)" section as the only lord from Essex with the name Humphrey - https://domesday.pase.ac.uk/Domesday?op=5&nameinfo_id=2613
And the citation listed in the article, his page from the Open Domesday project - https://opendomesday.org/name/humphrey-goldenbollocks/ Xismyhero (talk) 20:08, 23 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
