Submission declined on 27 September 2023 by Sohom Datta (talk). This submission does not appear to be written in the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia article. Entries should be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources. Please rewrite your submission in a more encyclopedic format. Please make sure to avoid peacock terms that promote the subject. Declined by Sohom Datta 7 months ago. |
- Comment: Unfortunately the awards from ICCES do not qualify to pass the notability criteria of WP:NPROF. (At NIST he is effectively an academic who does not teach.) The ICCES is a fairly small conference, not a major one such as APS. Being elected a fellow of APS plus some other large awards are needed. Ldm1954 (talk) 16:36, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: Addendum: his current h-factor of 29 is way too small for notability, it would need to be double that. Ldm1954 (talk) 16:42, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: I have gone ahead and trimmed out a bunch of stuff that made it sound like a resume, provided you can provide some third-party sourcing for the places marked as citation needed, I can approve this. Sohom (talk) 07:39, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: This still reads like a resume and I fail to see any non-primary sources being included. That being said on a cursory BEFORE search I do see a h-index above 20 on Google Scholar which might pass our guidelines for notability of researchers :) Sohom (talk) 07:26, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

Vinod Tewary (born 1940) is an Indian American theoretical physicist at NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).[2]. Dr Tewary’s field of research is theoretical solid-state physics, with specialization in nanomaterials. He is the originator of the Tewary method for lattice statics[3][4][5], the Multiscale GF (MSGF) method[6], and the CGFMD (causal GF in molecular dynamics).[7][8][9] These methods are used in the mathematical modeling of nanomaterials.
Early life and education edit
Vinod Tewary was born in Hardoi, U.P., India, where he received his early education. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Physics) degrees from the University of Lucknow (India), and his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the University of Delhi (India).
