On April 30, 2024, a trough separate from the sequence that occurred 2 days prior began forming and unfolding in the Southern United States, producing multiple tornadoes, some of which have been confirmed to be violent. A drillbit tornado tracked through Westmoreland, Kansas, injuring 1 or more people. Multiple tornado watches and warnings have been issued. Wichita and Emporia, Kansas have also been put under severe thunderstorm warnings and tornado warnings. An extremely strong updraft was also located near Mayetta, Kansas. These storms have the potential to produce multiple extremely violent tornadoes. 32 severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued so far, and multiple more can be issued as time passes. A tornado warning issued for Richardson County in Nebraska for Barada has the potential to produce an extremely dangerous tornado. Goff and Wetmore in Kansas are also under a tornado warning. Craig, Missouri and Corning, Missouri are all also being affected by potentially violent tornadoes.

Topeka, Kansas edit

An extremely large wall cloud potentially containing an extremely large and dangerous wedge tornado was located in the metro area of Topeka, Kansas. No preliminary information is available. Radar and live-cam confirmed. A funnel cloud has been confirmed here, and tornadoes produced by this supercell may be extremely dangerous and/or violent.

An extremely dangerous tornado has been confirmed in downtown Grantville, Kansas.

Non-tornadic effects edit

Baseball-sized hail was reported and observed outside of Orient, Kansas and Skidmore, Missouri, and an extremely strong updraft is currently unfolding. 3-inch sized hail was also reported in parts of Kansas, and tennis-ball sized hail was reported in Macksburg, Iowa.
