Draft:The Mr Jakeb Time Slip

The Mr Jakeb Time Slip refers to strategically altering a time schedule to improve efficacy and efficiency.

It was coined by and named after a kindergarten teacher in early 2024.

The original application was for school excursions to the zoo. Where multiple schools would visit at the same time causing great congestion with viewing animals and finding an eating place for lunch, impacting negatively on what is meant to be a joyful day.

The proposal was to go to the zoo later in the morning, offsetting the viewing time from other schools and the subsequent lunchtime and departure times. One problem raised with this is the students eating lunch later and suffering from hunger. However The Mr Jakeb Time Slip proposed a snack time that is often held in the afternoon to be employed in the early morning helping to sustain the students through to the later lunch.

This method allowed both for easy viewing of animals due to low congestion, ease of eating lunch in the shade as most other schools had finished and left, increased toilet trip efficiency and improved departure at the exit due to low congestion. All of this contributing significantly to the students and teachers overall positive experience on the excursion.
