The Eritrean Revolution for National Salvation (ERNS) is a political movement, establish for restoring democratic reform and societal transformation in Eritrea. The movement was founded in response to decades of political repression and human rights violations in Eritrea.

The roots of the Eritrean Revolution for National Salvation (ERNS) can be traced back to the human rights violation and against autocratic rule.[1] Since gaining independence, Eritrea has been ruled by a single individual, exercising control over the judiciary, executive, and legislative branches of government. This centralized power structure has led to widespread political repression and human rights abuses, prompting the emergence of grassroots movements in the diaspora seeking democratic change.[2]

The Eritrean Revolution for National Salvation (ERNS) was founded by Temesghen Ghde. He was Born and raised in Eritrea, Ghde identified a critical need for political change and thus founded the ERNS to promote democratic values and principles. He has studied at UC Berkeley and Harvard University.[3]

Eritrean Revolution for National Salvation is to educate and mobilize the Eritrean populace toward the establishment of a democratic society. ERNS implements educational programs designed to enlighten and empower participants on critical issues related to democracy, the rule of law, and human rights.[1]
