Shikha Goel is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1994 batch[1] from the Telangana cadre.[2] She is currently serving as the Additional Director General of Police, CID, Telangana[3][4],[5] and holds several additional roles including FAC Director of the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau, In-charge Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Telangana, and In-charge Additional Director General of Police, Women Safety Wing,[6]Telangana.[7]

Early Life and Education

Shikha Goel was born on March 7, 1969. She completed her higher education at Delhi University, earning a Bachelor's degree with Honours in Botany from Miranda House, followed by a Master's degree and an M. Phil in Botany. She also completed an Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy from the Indian School of Business and is an accredited civil and commercial mediator through ADR ODR International.

Career

Shikha Goel began her career in the Indian Police Service in 1994 after completing her training at the National Police Academy (NPA) in Hyderabad. Her early assignments included serving as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in Jammu. Throughout her nearly three-decade-long career, she has held various significant positions:

  • Additional Director General of Police, Women Safety, SHE Teams and Bharosa[8][9]
  • Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Telangana State[10][11]
  • Additional Commissioner of Police, Crimes & SIT, Hyderabad City[12]
  • Inspector General, CISF NS Headquarters, New Delhi[13]
  • Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Zone, Secunderabad
  • Superintendent of Police in various districts
