Mass Effect 5 is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. It is the fifth major entry in the Mass Effect franchise.
Development edit
The game was allegedly teased by Casey Hudson, long time producer.[1][2]
As part of the 2020 "N7 Day," BioWare affirmed that a new Mass Effect was in development at the studio.[3] An announcement trailer was released on 11 December 2020, hinting at a sequel to the original trilogy. The new entry is also confirmed to be run on the Unreal Engine, which was used in each game of the original trilogy, instead of Frostbite which was used for Andromeda.[4]
In 2021, the official Mass Effect Twitter account tweeted a poster with a ship and 4 crew, with the tagline "Mass Effect will continue".[5][6][7][8][9]
