- Comment: To reviewers: the only useful source that was not present on the version of the article that was previously AfD'd is this one: [1]. So it's almost a WP:G4 (but the text does differ significantly). However, the AfD makes no sense to me - according to the AfD, he was a local player only, but that's not what the text of this article suggests. Marc Pepin is a Canadian professional tennis player and author. He is the only Canadian tennis player to be ranked #1 senior in five consecutive decades.[1] He has won 56 International Tennis Federation titles, three European Mixed Doubles crowns, three Senior World Championship titles, seven Canadian National titles and 25 Senior Atlantic titles.[2]
Marc has represented Canada on the international level in team competitions[3] and has competed against opponents such as Dick Stockton, a former Wimbledon and French Open semi-finalist. Pepin won the match 6-1, 2-6.10-7 at the Friendship Cup in Palm Beach Gardens in 2013. [4]
In 2008 he wrote a book on Tennis in New Brunswick, Slice and Dice.
Pepin was inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.[5]
Pepin achieved the #1 World Senior ITF ranking in mixed doubles for the first time in his career Nov. 21st, 2016. [6] On September 25th 2017 he reached #1 World Senior ITF ranking in men’s doubles.[6] On December 1st, 2014 he reached #28 in singles.[6]
