Long Tebanyi, also known as Long Sebatang, is located in the interior of the Telang Usan district. The village is bordered by Long Apu, Long Na'ah, Long Nuah, and Apau Nyaring.


The inhabitants of this village consist of one of the sub-ethnic groups of the Kenyah people known as Kenyah Lepo' Sawak. The population migrated from the village of Long Anap on the Baram River.


The village is situated on the Tinjar River (known as Lemeting to the Orang Ulu community) and is the furthest upstream village on the river.
