Unfortunately, it does not fulfill the notability criteria for politicians listed at WP:NPOL as he is not elected on a national or regional office. While the subject received significant press coverage, it is all related to one single event (being the youngest person ever elected in Northern Ireland). Per WP:ONEEVENT, this does not show notability. It is most likely a case of WP:TOOSOON: in a few years the subject will possibly deserve a Wikipedia page, but not for now. Lewis Boyle (born 17th December 2004) is an Alliance Party politician serving as an Alderman on Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council since 2023. He is the youngest person to have ever been elected in Northern Ireland.[1][2][3]

Political Career edit

Boyle was elected in the 2023 Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council election for the Ballyclare District Electoral Area. He polled 977 first preference votes (13.6%) and was elected on count 5 becoming the youngest person to ever hold public office in Northern Ireland.

Personal Life edit

Boyle attended the Rainey Endowed School in Magherafelt where he was elected as a Councillor before finishing his A-Levels. He currently attends Queen’s University Belfast.
