Let It Be Beatles is an Australian radio show, based around The Beatles and their solo material. It is broadcast from Melbourne and is likely to be the world’s longest running Beatles radio show. Conceived by Graeme Dickenson, a presenter on community radio station 3WRB (later renamed Stereo 974), Let It Be Beatles began in September 1992. It aired live for 2 hours per show, every week until 2020 when Stereo 974 ceased operations. Soon after this, the show was approached by WynFM and it began broadcasting there in March 2020. It currently airs live to air on Mondays 9-11 PM Australian Eastern Standard Time, but is always available as a download at https://letitbebeatles.blogspot.com/

The show has had multiple guests, covering various Beatles related topics. Interviews have included George Harrison, Mark Lewisohn, Andy Neil, David Glyde, Robert Whitaker, Astrid Kirrcherr, Sean Lennon and Kenn Brodziak.

The show has had multiple panel members over the years, and most had appeared regularly as guests several times before joining  the show as a regular member.

https://radioinfo.com.au/news/let-it-be-beatles-show-stereo-974-been-around-longer-band/ It was back in 1992, at the close of the football season, that Melbourne based community station Stereo 974 announcer John Shorten was looking for something to occupy his time slot during the off season. He thought a Beatles program would be great. And it has been great for the past 19 years – about twice as long as the Fab Four were together.

With the help of fellow announcer and Beatle collector Graeme Dickenson they started a day by day history of the Beatles in the studio featuring Interviews, live recordings, out-takes, demos and completed product.

Over the years ‘Let It Be Beatles’ has featured exclusive interviews with George Harrison and George Martin as well as speaking with Beatle photographers, Jurgen Volmer, Astrid Kircherr and Robert Whitaker and many other associated personalities including Molly Meldrum, Kenn Brodziak, and Australian artists from the time including Russell Morris, Jim  Keays and Ross D. Wylie.

Mark Lewisohn, the acknowledged world authority on the Beatles, has been a guest on the show, featuring in three times in major interviews:

MUSIC lover Graeme Dickenson can often be seen rummaging through boxes of records at garage sales, but he can also be heard over the airwaves.
