Plot edit

On a dark Christmas Eve in Iceland, a small family unwraps presents in their countryside home. But as it becomes clear that two people have not received any clothes for Christmas, the patriarch of the family warns them of the Yule Cat - a ravenous creature of Icelandic folklore that eats those who aren't gifted any clothing. Before they know it, the power cuts out and the monstrous creature appears, driving the family out into the nearby woods as it hunts its festive prey. They must outsmart the creature as quickly as they can if they are to have any chance of celebrating another Christmas ever again.
