Draft:International Women in Biomechanics

International Women in Biomechanics (IWB)[1] is an organisation that brings women and under-represented genders together in the scientific field of biomechanics. It was founded in July 2020 by two postdoctoral scientists Dr Ana Ebrahimi[2] and Dr Jayishni Maharaj[3] through a post on social media[4][5]. IWB is an affiliate society of the International Society of Biomechanics since August 2023 and recipient of the American Society of Biomechanics 2022 Grants for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (GRADE) award.
