The Imperial Union of Chessington was established on November 10th, 2023 by Oscar Imperator, Catherine Regina, Peter Rex, Helen Regina, Peter Rex, and Mary Regina over unpopular policies enacted by the governing Conservative Party. On the country's website, Oscar wrote: " I decided to take the difficult decision to leave the UK and declare the independence of the Imperial Union of Chessington because I just could not sit and watch the people around me be ruined by a government no worse than the alternative... And that's why we created Chessington. Because we have had it with the British System. With Labour and the Tories, both parties as worse as each other. "
