Volodimir Grubnik (born 22 March 1950, Rozdilna) is a Ukrainian researcher in the field of surgery, who has been head of surgery department of Odessa National Medical University (since 1991), Dr. Habil (since 1988), and professor (since 1991).

Volodimir Grubnik was born on 22 March 1950 in the town Rozdilna (Odessa region) in Ukraine.
He graduated from Odessa State Medical University in 1972. In 1975, earned his Doctor of Philosophy and followed by a Doctor of Medical Science in 1987.
He obtained the position of Head of Department of Surgery in Odessa State Medical University in 1989. Founder of the Ukrainian school of Endoscopic Surgery, Grubnik has performed approximately 20000 endoscopic and laparoscopic operations.
Grubnik ia an author of 713 scientific works, 28 books, and 75 patents. He is an author of new methods in laser endoscopy, laser and endoscopic operations in plastic, abdominal, thoracic and endocrine surgery.
Since 1998, he has participated in EAES and SAGES annual congresses. Since 1999 he has been a board member of EAES. From 1999-2022, he was a vice president of the Ukrainian Association of Endoscopic Surgeons. From 2005-2010, he was a member of the EAES Executive Board: Chairman of international Relations of EAES. Since 2013, he is a president of Odessa region association of surgeons. He is currently a member of the following organizations: New York Academy of Sciences (since 1994), European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (since 1996), and Ukraine Association of Bariatric Surgery (since 2002).
