In November 2023, as Gaza was under assault by the Israeli army, Stuart Seldowitz became the center of attention due to a viral video[11] which showed him making Islamophobic comments and threatening a take-out restaurant worker. At New York.
Gotham Government Relations announced via X (formerly Twitter) and their official website that they had severed ties with Seldowitz as a result of what the video shows.[12][13] This announcement, however, was criticized for its contradiction with previous announcements from the organization concerning him[14]
