• Comment: I'm not seeing significant coverage of the company in this article. Phrases like strategic shift aimed to establish a dynamic ecosystem and the holding focuses on nurturing their growth are clearly corporate speak and not neutral in tone nor encyclopedic in nature. Unfortunately a lot of work is needed here to justify this entering the mainspace without issue. VRXCES (talk) 12:15, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Do you have any more non-interview sources about the company itself(not it's games)?
Companies are hard to write about because nobody really talks about them critically. Ca talk to me! 22:51, 15 December 2023 (UTC)

  • Comment: The listed sources are just simple routine announcements. They only document the name change and provide a list of games produced. We need more substance than that. Ca talk to me! 14:58, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: press releases are not reliable or independent. Theroadislong (talk) 13:26, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

GDEV Inc. is a global holding company based in Limassol, Cyprus.

It emerged as a result of a strategic restructuring of Nexters Inc. on June 21, 2023.[1]

GDEV now operates as the parent company and oversees a range of subsidiaries, engaging primarily in the gaming and entertainment industry.

History edit

In June 2023, international game development company Nexters Inc. restructured into GDEV holding, while Nexters became its largest wholly-owned subsidiary. This strategic shift aimed to establish a dynamic ecosystem of studios and franchises within the gaming and entertainment sector as well as to foster collaboration and operational efficiency among these entities.

Complementary to Nexters, GDEV oversees the subsidiaries Cubic Games, the partially controlled assets Royal Ark and Game Gears, among others, as well as any future acquisitions.

Its franchises, such as Hero Wars[2], Island Hoppers [3], Pixel Gun 3D[4], and others have accumulated hundreds of millions installs worldwide, and the holding focuses on nurturing their growth.

Games edit

Nexters operates Hero Wars [5], an online RPG fantasy game, and Island Hoppers [6], a jungle adventure game.

Cubic Games [7] operates Pixel Gun 3D, a mobile first-person shooter, that has generated $200m in bookings [8]. Since its 2013 release, the game has been downloaded 185 million times across iOS and Android devices [9], and Block City Wars [10], is a multiplayer shooter on the huge map.

In 2023, the company announced the launch of Hero Wars Universe[11]

Finances edit

In its financial report for the full year ending December 31, 2023, GDEV Inc. reported a record annual revenue of $465 million, representing an 11% growth from the previous year. The Company achieved a total comprehensive annual income of $11 million and EBITDA of $98 million[12]
