- Comment: Needs specific, significant coverage about Florida's Voice in particular, which should be coming from reliable independent sources which aren't associated with the subject. Utopes (talk / cont) 02:57, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
Florida's Voice is a news site that covers politics in the state of Florida. It is owned and run by Brendon Leslie, who launched the website in 2021. Leslie employs four reporters. Leslie used to be a reporter at WINK News.[1][2]
The site operates statewide, based out of Southwest Florida.
In January 2024, Leslie hired former Chicago TV and Emmy award winning journalist Anita Padilla[3] as News Director.[4]
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has given favorable treatment to Florida's Voice since its 2021 creation.[5] He formally endorsed the outlet in 2022, and gave Leslie an exclusive interview at a Hurricane Ian press conference after the governor "cut questions short." [6]
The outlet has been given a "right" bias rating.[7][8] It was previously called "Florida's Conservative Voice."[9] Its website displays automated and custom advertisements.
