Draft:Federal and Armed Forces Libraries

The Federal and Armed Forces Libraries Round Table (FAFLRT) exists as an "official round table under the American Library Association to promote library and information service and the library and information profession in the federal and armed forces communities; to promote appropriate utilization of federal and armed forces library and information resources and facilities; and to provide an environment for the stimulation of research and development relating to the planning, development, and operation of federal and armed forces libraries." [1]

The Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) is a division of the American Library Association (ALA). RUSA members work in different library settings but have one principal characteristic in common: public services. RUSA is home to library workers who have direct contact with people. The Association serves people in public and academic libraries who provide services including reader advisory, collection access or delivery, electronic tools, first-year success, local history, financial literacy, business formation, or who manage front-line workers.
