Eyre is a hamlet on the Isle of Raasay, in the civil parish of Portree, in the council area of Highland, Scotland. It is on the south coast of Raasay, 1.5 miles from Inverarish.[1] On the 1988 Ordnance Survey map Eyre had 4 roofed buildings and 6 unroofed buildings.[2] The name "Eyre" is Norse and means "beach" or "sand spit".[3]
