Development and release

edit

The game is being developed by Paradox Tinto under the code name "Project Caesar." Paradox Tinto was first founded in 2020 in Barcelona, with its studio head being Johan Andersson. The first information on the game was published by Andersson in March 2024, and while no name was stated beyond the code name, PC Gamer reported that the game was likely going to be a sequel to Europa Universalis IV.[1] Years earlier in 2021, when asked about a sequel to Europa Universalis IV in an interview from Wargamer, Andersson commented "eventually, yes. But it’s like, eventually, we’re all gonna die also".[2]
