Operating in 10 countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Brunei, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar, Easybook has become a preferred choice for travellers seeking transit options in ASEAN nations. In 2016, Easybook was recognized as the largest online ticket booking service in Southeast Asia for its operations[2]. With a customer base of over 3 million and over 40 million tickets sold since inception, Easybook collaborates with over 1,000 operators, covering an extensive network of over 60,000 routes across ASEAN, making travel safer and simpler for land and sea travellers, transport operators, and terminal administrators.

Easybook, previously known as Easibook, was founded in 2006 as an entrepreneurial venture by William Lee, a student at the National University of Singapore. During the early years, the site was only dedicated to selling online bus tickets in Singapore and Malaysia. After an overwhelming response from buyers, the platform expanded its services to include train and ferry ticket booking, car rentals, hotels, and charter services, aiming to meet the growing need for convenient transportation in Southeast Asia.  [3]

As of 2023, Easybook holds the largest market share in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand[3], with over 3 million monthly visitors to Easybook.com, 1.6 million app downloads, 40 million tickets sold, and over 1,000 operators servicing over 60,000 routes throughout ASEAN. Contributing to its growth, Easybook has established strategic partnerships and agreements with Grab, Shopee,[4] Touch n Go,[5] and local governments. The platform has been growing at a compounded annual growth rate of 50%, excluding the COVID-19 pandemic, from 2020 to 2021. In the B2B sector, Easybook's platform hosts over 1,000 bus and ferry companies, including prominent transport operators such as Supernice Express, Sri Maju, Billion Stars, KBES, and Dharma Indah. Through its platform, Easybook helps transport operators reach worldwide ticket distributors and enhance their business value.

In the B2C sector, Easybook now has a rapidly increasing database of more than 5 million passengers. Travellers have access to a wide range of transportation services, including the transportation mode (buses, ferries, and trains), operators, and terminals, allowing them to plan their journeys more flexibly that best suits their needs and preferences.

Within the B2G sector, Easybook provides a software-as-a-service (SAAS) based solution for managing bus and ferry terminals. This system handles ticket inventory for all transit companies, streamlines ticket sales, and enhances terminal traffic flow processes. The solution has demonstrated effectiveness in resolving critical ferry safety issues and is operational at over 150 terminals in the region, including terminals in Penang, Johor, Sabah in Malaysia, as well as in Bali and Manado in Indonesia.
