Comment: All of the references are brief mentions or simple announcements which do not go into depth about his life and career. I tried searching on Google but there are a ton of results mainly with him being the author of the reference (which would not be considered independent). Are you able to provide some references that talk "about" him in-depth? If so, ping me here or reach out on my talk page when you add them and I will come back and take another look. Early life edit
Merica grew up in Las Vegas.[2] He earned his Bachelor's degree from Bentley University and his Master's degree in 2011 from American University.[1][2]
Career edit
Merica was an intern at NPR and was also an editor and writer at The American Observer. He was hired by CNN as a political producer in 2011.[1]
He joined The Messenger as a national political reporter on April 12, 2023.[3]
Before joining the Messenger, he was also a national political reporter at CNN.[1]
Personal life edit
Merica married Monica Alba, a White House correspondent for NBC News, on July 27, 2019. Merica "first met in Manchester, N.H., in August 2015 while covering Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, but did not start dating until the following spring".[4]
Merica and Alba had their first child on February 4, 2023.[5]
