- Comment: Please don't resubmit the draft without making significant changes. Ratnahastin (talk) 06:44, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
- Please don't evaluate the article again. It was online, as a translation from the French version as mentioned on the talk page, and you move it to draft. Moreover you are confused with moving to draft an article and indicating a lack of sources - at your own opinion - which has a specific maintenance template removal for that.
The Château de Jouy-en-Josas is in Jouy-en-Josas, southwest of Paris, in the French department of Yvelines, in the Île-de-France region. It is a partly preserved castle,[1] currently occupied by HEC Paris for its continuing education activities (Executive education) and as a seminar site.[2]
History
editThe Château de Jouy was sold in 1834 to the banker James Mallet, husband of Laure Oberkampf. It remained in his family until 1953.[3]
Description
editThe lordly manor

editThe neoclassical castle preserved today
editThe gardens
editJouy had regular gardens described by Dezallier d'Argenville, who emphasizes the beauty of the Orangery parterre, worthy of that of royal houses. The site was nevertheless buried at the bottom of a valley, which did not allow for a good view. The Orangery building is still preserved as part of the HEC school which manages the estate, but it is in total ruins according to aerial views.[4]
The castle gardens are currently landscaped “in the English style”.[5]
