Camden Lewis (born November 22, 2000) is an American football placekicker who is a free agent. He most recently played college football at Oregon.
College career edit
As a 2-star recruit out of Cornelius, North Carolina, Lewis originally committed to the University of Minnesota.[1] On December 14, 2018, Lewis flipped his commit to the University of Oregon.[2]
In his first year at Oregon as a true freshman, Lewis amassed a field goal percent of 64.3%, making nine out of fourteen, and a 96% extra point percent with 57 out of 59. His long was 40 yards.[3]
In 2020, Lewis had a career low in attempted and made field goals because of a shortened season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He finished with only making one for four in field goals and all 15 extra points.[3]
In 2021, Lewis gained a career high in almost every statistical category. He finished with an 81% field goal percentage and 98% extra point percentage. His long was from 49 yards.[3]
In his fourth year of college football, Lewis returned to Oregon where he once again, broke several of his own records and climbed the ranks of Ducks records. He finished with 87% for field goals and 100% on extra points with a total 106 points scored for the Ducks in 2022.[3]
Lewis did not declare for the NFL Draft and returned to Oregon for his final season of eligibility, where he shattered Royce Freeman's record for most career points by an Oregon Duck in a win against Arizona State.[4]
Professional career edit
Lewis went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. He accepted a mini-camp invitation from the Denver Broncos on April 27, 2024.[5]
