Buro Ventures is a venture studio from Oslo, Norway. In 2011 it was initially established as a consultancy focused on providing digital solutions, and in 2019 it was formally incorporated in Norway.[1]. The company has since expanded its scope to build a variety of AI and software services through its branch, Buro Labs. In 2023, the company introduced the Buro SATCO Program, which includes education, software provisions, and majority ownership of new business concepts.
History edit
In 2011 Buro Ventures was established at what was then a growth consultancy run by Harald Røine, whose early career and vision were influenced by his experiences and activities during his university days[2]. It was formally incorporated as a company in 2019. Buro Ventures worked as consultants primarily for B2B companies until August 2021.
In August 2021, Buro Ventures decided to start licensing business models providing marketing services. They did this by selling a program where interested entrepreneurs were able to buy their way into the consultancy team Buro Ventures operated. The program was meant to educate the entrepreneurs on digital marketing, and how to perform the service they were licensing.
As of 2023, Buro Ventures runs 2 different branches of the company. The first arm is called Buro Labs, where they develop software using automation tools such as AI. The second arm is called Buro Studio. Here they are developing new businesses through their SATCO Program.
Program edit
Buro Ventures’ SATCO Program gives entrepreneurs majority ownership in a business concept Buro Ventures has built. The entrepreneur pays 30,000 NOK to receive ownership, support, and digital infrastructure to build a business together with Buro Ventures.
The program’s technology is aided by the Buro Labs arm, and the support format is continuous with no end date[3]
