The Baxaran of Maghan is a supranational entity and a tribal confederation of the Maghan people of Ghana in free association with the traditional states of the Asante Kingdom, Anlo Ewe and the Kingdom of Dagbon.

The Maghan people are a Guan ethno-religious group inhabiting the Oti, Volta and Eastern regions of Ghana.

Since Ghana's independence in 1957, the Baxaran of Maghan just like all of Ghana's kingdoms and ethnic groups, assumed a traditional, customary role with the Alaara of Maghan Jalal Magan Ibrahim Exoedoramewo Busumuru II being the traditional overlord and spiritual leader of the sixteen tinkurus of the Maghan people of Ghana. The office of the Alaara of Maghan as established by customary law and usage, is the supreme ruler and spiritual leader of the Maghan representing the spirit and unity of the Maghan people.

Queenmother of Maghan edit

The Queenmother of the Maghan people is the mother of the people and matriarch of the ruling dynasty of Maghan. The current Queenmother of Maghan is Kassinma Ayaba Mary Ligi.

Royal Gates of the Dynasty of Maghan edit

Succession to the Zugraan of Dendera (the paramount stool of the Maghan people) is rotated among the three royal gates of Maghan, namely - the Kurufaba of Saba, Kurufaba of Osomanya and the Kurufaba of Otuoboyiri. The Alaara of Maghan is the father figurehead and patriarch of the royal House.
