Bakingo is an Indian cloud kitchen specializing in online bakery services, co-founded in 2016 by college friends Himanshu Chawla, Shrey Sehgal, and Suman Patra. The brand offers a variety of cakes and operates delivery services across 13 cities in India.[1].[2]

Established in 2016, Bakingo aimed to transform and streamline the cake delivery industry in India by pioneering its online segment. The name "Bakingo" encapsulates the essence of delivering artfully crafted cakes and desserts, boasting over 150 cake varieties and 100 dessert SKUs. Founded by Himanshu Chawla, who serves as the CEO, and co-founders Suman Patra and Shrey Sehgal, Bakingo operates from its headquarters in Gurgaon, aspiring to be the top bakery choice in every locality nationwide[3].[4]

Funding edit

In November 2023, Bakingo received a funding of INR 133 crores (USD 16 million) from Faering Capital.[5]

Bakingo's product range features categories such as Birthday & Anniversary Cakes, Gourmet selections, Plum and Designer Cakes, along with Desserts, Brownies, Cookies, and Gift Hampers[6].

Approximately 30% of Bakingo's sales are generated directly through its website, with the remaining 70% facilitated by other food platforms like Swiggy and Zomato. Our outlets offer delivery within an 8-10 km radius through Swiggy and Zomato. Bakingo extends its services to 13 cities across India, including Gurugram, Delhi, Noida, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh, and Lucknow[7][8]
