Alireza Mirzaiean is an up and coming kabaddi player from Iran. He has represented the Iranian national kabaddi team in the Asian Kabaddi Championship, 2023 and the 2022 Asian Games at the age of 19. After some good performances for his national team, he was signed by U Mumba for the tenth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League, where he impressed in the limited opportunities he got.
Personal Life edit
Alireza lost his father at a young age and is the breadwinner of his family, which consists of his mother and elder sister. Right from the beginning, his mother and sister have been supportive of him pursuing a career in kabaddi. He has been playing the sport for nearly 10 years and has faced many hardships but has never backed down in the face of adversity.
Pro Kabaddi 2023-24 edit
Alireza was picked by U Mumba in the 10th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League for a sum of INR 16.10 Crores. Having suffered from an injury at the Asian Games which carried into PKL, Alireza was unable to play as many games as he would have hoped to. It will be interesting to see if he gets retained for the next season or whether he will be a part of the auction again ahead of the eleventh season.
