On 27th March 2024 at around 10 pm,a 4.1 magnitude earthquake (Richter scale) was felt near Friuli Venezia Giulia,province of Udine[1] There were no reported injuries.Emergency personnel of the areas hit by the earthquake said there were tons of distress calls coming from concerned citizens of the areas affected by the earthquake.At around 3 am(May not be factual),a second wave (settling) hit with a magnitude of 2.3 (Richter scale).Atleast 6 more aftershocks followed after this,the strongest of which had a magnitude of 2.3 (Richter scale).
The mayors of the affected areas have said that they will carry out checks on all the buildings,including abandoned buildings and stables,with the help of the Civil Protection technicians.Among possible damage to the statics,it has also been reported that citizens felt weak shaking about 300 kilometres away from the epicenter of the earthquake (Vienna/Wien).
The mayor of Socchieve Coriglio Zannier said "We felt a tremendous bang and were so scared," then "the light was out for a few minutes."[2]
