Diante Garrett (born November 3, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Garrett played collegiately at Iowa State.[1] He has played in Croatia for KK Zagreb and in France for JSF Nanterre. He joined the Phoenix Suns for their training camp in 2012, and made their regular season roster.[2]
On November 5, 2012, Garrett made his first NBA appearance against the Miami Heat. He scored 2 points, had 2 assists, and 1 steal in a blowout win for the Heat. On January 10, 2013, he was assigned to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA D-League.[3] He was recalled on January 28 after averaging 15.1 points, 7.4 assists, and 1.7 steals in the seven games he played with Bakersfield.[4] On April 6, 2013, the Suns sent him back to Bakersfield.[5] He was recalled the next day,[6] reassigned on April 11, 2013,[7] and recalled again on April 15, 2013.[8]
His father is former NBA player Dick Garrett.
