Distribution edit

This Mediterranean species is present in France, Italy and Spain.[2]

Description edit

Dasytes tristiculus can reach a body length of about 4–5 mm (0.16–0.20 in). These small black beetles have long erect black pubescence over the entire surface of the elytra and pronotum. The females usually show a broad transversal band of lighter pubescence anteriorly.[3]

Phenology edit

Adults can be found from April to June.[4]
