Daniel Quizon (born 2004) is a Filipino chess player and is the current Philippine Chess Champion. [1] He was awarded the title of International Master (IM) by FIDE in 2018.[2]

He qualified to play for the Chess World Cup 2021[3] where he was defeated 1.5-0.5 by Evgeny Bareev in the first round.[4]

He won the AQ Prime ASEAN Chess Championship last February 2023, earning him a GM norm.[5] Last June 2023, he earned his third norm after he went unbeaten on the ASEAN+ Age Group Chess Championships in Bangkok, Thailand.[6]

On March 31, 2024, Quizon defeated Nguyễn Anh Dũng and ruled the Hanoi Grandmaster Chess Tournament claiming the third and final GM norm in Vietnam.[7]
