Chiayi metropolitan area

According to the definition of metropolitan areas formerly used by the ROC government, Chiayi metropolitan area (嘉義都會區) includes the following areas:

Chiayi City (core city) Chiayi County
  • East District
  • West District

However, since the December 25, 2010 readjustments of the municipalities (an adjustment that did not affect Chiayi directly), the Republic of China government has abolished the definition as obsolete.[1]
