Chakia is a town and a nagar panchayat in Chandauli district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Geography
Chakia is located at 25°03′N 83°13′E / 25.05°N 83.22°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 78 metres (255 feet). It is surrounded by beauty of Nature. The famous Vindhya mountain series starts from here.
Political
Chakia is a very well democratic city and has a very stable political system. The Election of 2012 was won by Rita Chaubey.She is the Chairman of Nagar Panchayat Chakia.
And The election of 2013 for Block pramukh was won by Pooja Jaiswal w/o Mr. Pawan Jaiswal is really good political personality.
Religions
Chakia is mainly consisted of Hinduism but almost 20% of Chakia is also Muslim. Some Sikhs are also present in this town.
Education
In spite of being a small town, Chakia has good Schools & colleges. Aditya Narayan Government Intermedite College is the prestigious college in District.It was established in 1952 by Kaashi Naresh. Maharani jayanti kunwari kanya inter college,which was also established by Kaash Naresh in year 1996, is spreading knowledge among girls and providing good platform for future. Chakia also boasts of having S.B.F. Govt. P.G. college. "Madarsa Islamia" which is situated in 1933 is a markable education cetre for all religion students. Bapu Bal Vidya Mandir, Bharat Mata Vidya Mandir,Jai Bharat Mata Vidya Mandir,Saraswati Shishu Mandir'and others are good schools in town. Iqra Model School has started English medium education in town but in present "Silver Bells School", "International English School", "City Montessory Convent School" are also improving this field very effectively. Some Computer Centers also giving knowledge as- New Career Education, Micro Institute, Unit Computer, Hi-jet Computer, Khan Computer. National Communication Cetre and Vinod Coaching Centre are coaching institutes for student who are struggling for comptition.

As of now Chakiya has good market. There are 43 village which are dependent upon this market. Now Chakia is a developed town.

Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Chakia had a population of 13,667. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Chakia has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national average of 61.4%; with male literacy of 68% and female literacy of 50%. 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Latifshah Dam- completed in 1921. about 3 km from market. Maa Kali Temple, pond,which is situated by Kashi Naresh in 16th century. Maharaja Quila- Created by Maharaja Balwant Singh. Chandraprabha Ranje, Mushakhad Dam- about 12 km. Rajdari and Dev dari fall- about 15 km. Dilkusha Dak Banglow. Lord shiva Temple as Jageshwarnath Dham situated at the bank of River Chandra-Prabha near Hetimpur at the Hajipur Road.
