"Redwood National and State Parks" is a VERY specific name for only REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK and the three state parks (Prarie Creek, Del Norte Coast, and Jedediah Smith) that are located adjacent to (actually touching) Redwood National Park. This category is in error listing any parks beyond those three State parks in addition to RNP and will confuse readers. No other parks are included in the historic management compact that exists in between only the three listed state parks and Redwood National Park. Disagree? See Redwood National and State Parks Visitor Guide: National or State Park? section AND [1] or Call Redwood National Park Headquarters in Crescent City, CA...Norcalal (talk) 07:32, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Editors continue to misunderstand this category edit

I have noticed that editors continue to add this category to parks that are NOT contiguous with Redwood National Park. The matter begs the question. It seems to be time to make a Coast Redwood Parks (specific) category. That would be cool and solve the confusion over application of this category, which, by the way, is an understandable mistake. I haven't been watching where this category has been added. Your suggestion seems fine to me. For more feedback you may want to post a discussion at Wikiproject Protected areas since very few people probably have this watchlisted.MONGO 16:57, 4 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
