"do not replace" edit

I've made the language about not replacing the redirect with a piped link more absolute. As far as I can see there's no good reason to do that, ever. In some cases there may be a subtle distinction between the two names, and eventually there might even be a separate article where there's currently a redirect. In that case, it's better if the link points to the new, separate article. --Trovatore 18:31, 19 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

alternate edit

"Alternate" means taking turns; "alternative" means different possibilities. I have moved the category to Category:Redirects from alternative names. Snottygobble 04:55, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Help edit

What am I doing wrong? I inserted {{R from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos, CA MSA}}. Also with several other variations I could dream up. The template choked, so I realize this isn't right, but what is? Thanks. Student7 (talk) 01:50, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
