How do you add someone to this page? Con Hunley, who placed 20 hits on the country charts in the 1970's and 1980's, is from Knoxville. (http://www.conhunley.com)Smokynet 15:55, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Knoxville" is not the same thing as "Knoxville Metro Area" edit

As a resident of Oak Ridge (in Anderson County), which has rubbed shoulders with many notable people, I am bothered by the fact that this Knoxville category is laying claim to every notable person from the entire 5-county metro area. (If I create a category for "People from Oak Ridge", will it de facto become a subcategory of "People from Knoxville"? That doesn't make a lot of sense.) Similarly, there are other famous people with strong connections to other metro area counties (example, Sam Houston and Blount County) who have little or no association with Knoxville and should not be confounded with Knoxvillians. If there is a need to keep a Knoxville metro area famous people category, IMO this category should be renamed to People from the Knoxville, Tennessee Metro Area. Otherwise, the scope should be narrowed. --orlady 14:13, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
