Category content edit

This category was created for musical groups which have either always played melodic death metal or have played melodic death metal throughout a notable portion of their careers.

It is quite misleading to categorize a band as a melodic death metal band when they only played melodic death metal for a brief period in their careers or for only one or two albums, so these kind of bands shouldn't be included in this category. --Leon Sword 03:59, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shadows Fall? Thrash Metal or Metalcore not Melodic Death Metal. Removing it. 79.74.113.235 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 13:35, 12 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sacrilege should definitely be in there. Drummer from In Flames is their singer and they sound pretty much like a more hard-edge version of the Jester Race material. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.219.41.130 (talk) 09:25, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Anata? edit

What about adding Anata to the list? I haven't heard much of their stuf, but it sounded pretty melodic death to me.Nick227 (talk) 19:11, 14 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Arghoslent? edit

What about adding Arghoslent to the list? A review called their latest release Hornets of the Pogrom to be Melodic Death Metal, and I'd agree the band maintains a sound closer to Traditional Heavy Metal or NWOBHM than it does towards typical Death Metal.
