I would like to empty this Category and break it up into subcategories, see French painters categories in French language wikipedia. I am planning to add a category

- Category:Italian painters by century
This should include painters alive in this century

The categories already should be changed to
- Category:Italian painters by style
for example, baroque, neoclassic, realist, etc

- Category:Italian painters by subject

for example genre, landscape, still-life, portrait, etc
