Bizarre and subjective edit

This is one of the loopier lists in Wikipedia. It is offensively ethnocentric: What is a "pagan religion"? What is "Christianity"? There have been multitudes over the years that have thought Roman Catholicism "pagan." Why are not converts from that religion to Eastern Orthodoxy or Protestantism included in this list? And how is it determined who was "converted"? The example of Squanto is a case in point. He was evidently added to the list when the article claimed (by cite to Watergate felon Chuck Colson) that he had been converted by the monks who bought him in slavery. Is this "conversion"?

But all that aside what is the purpose of this list? Who would use it? It is certainly not encyclopedic. No serious publication with any pretense to scholarliness would have such a thing. AnthroMimus (talk) 02:18, 12 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

It's well documented that the monks bought Squanto to free him but he decided to stay with the monks. It was a fully voluntary conversion. -Zalkar — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zalkar (talkcontribs) 13:55, 25 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
