I just noticed this category. It obviously has not been filled as fully as possible. But as it is phrased now, I don't see the value. For the majority of top level athletes coming from the United States and many other countries, passing through a collegiate level program is normal. As such, this does not provide a good search value. What is the exception is an athlete that does not go through a collegiate program, like an Allyson Felix or Vashti Cunningham type who is so good as a high school athlete that she gets signed to a pro contract directly, or the rare individual who comes into the sport on their own. Its almost like saying "Professional baseball players who played a rookie season." Trackinfo (talk) 04:27, 12 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
