"Mythology" edit

What does "Buddhist mythology" mean in this context? If we assume that "mythology" is meant to be value-neutral (rather than derisive, which is also a common sense), then it seems to me that all religious ideas are basically mythological. That being the case "Buddhist mythology" would be redundant. I suggest that this category should, instead, be used for various cultural ideas that have accreted to Buddhism but that don't have particular religious significance by themselves, such as Naree Pons or Sanzu River. I don't think that Buddha or bodhisattva should be included in this category. - Nat Krause(Talk!) 00:02, 1 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
