Blackfriars Priory School is a private Roman Catholic school situated in Prospect, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, conducted by the Dominican Friars of the Province of the Assumption. For over 50 years the school has provided an education program for boys from Year 3 to Year 12, however, in 2005 a junior primary (Reception to Year 2) section was introduced. Blackfriars opened in 1953 with 45 students and grew over the years to over 1000 students. The school gladly supports students in their learning and the school is well-known for academic success. The school introduced the primary/senior school laptop program in late 2011, of which each senior student received their own school laptop for their studies. The primary students did not get personal school laptops but 10 class shared laptops per room, and 5 laptops for the reception students.
