Battle of Ctesiphon (198)

The Battle of Ctesiphon was fought between the Roman and Parthian empires. The Roman emperor Septimius Severus, faced by fierce resistance, succeeded in sacking the Parthian capital, and also deported some of its inhabitants.[2]
