Banga is a village of Faisalabad District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is located at 31°24'0N 73°18'0E with an altitude of 181 metres (597 feet).[1] It was in 1907 that Bhagat Singh, the famous Indian martyr was born here.[2] Bhagat Singh's ancestral village was near Banga that is in India, his family had just moved and was living in the canal colonies of Layallpur(near Banga, Failsalabad today) where people from the area of Banga, Jalandhar had settled when he was born there.
