Asim Ahmed is a Maldivian politician, and the Permanent Resident Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva from the Maldives, and was approved for the tenure by the Maldives Parliament, People's Majilis on July 24, 2020.

He was the acting foreign minister and ambassador at large of Maldives after President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih assumed office. He was also the Education Minister of Maldives.[1][2][3][4][5]

He is the Non-Resident Ambassador of the Maldives to Italy and was given the Letter of credence by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and he presented it to the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella.[6] He is also the Non-Resident ambassador to Switzerland, and Austria.
